And here I am, wilting in your presence.

There is light somewhere beyond where we are. I live for a moment when you’ll stop cutting us in half, splitting our hands from each others’ and breaking our minds from one another’s.

We are inevitable, didn’t you know? 
Despite the abundance of midnights, we’re going to fight our way to day.  

You’ve admitted defeat, and I understand, though you didn’t have to slice me to pieces like you did. This isn’t the right time, and that was impossible. 

But we were incredible. And you were beautiful.
